"A Band of Toms"

Tom Bittel created Dad's Noisy Basement to perform as a one-man-band.

Repertoire

  • Dozens of originals, vocal and instrumental - many from his past and present bands, including The Broken Hearts, See Jane Run, and The Aquatudes.
  • Fresh versions of rock, pop, rockabilly, and surf-rock tunes, absorbed from his collection of LPs, 45s, and 78 RPM records.

Virtual Band

Tom creates unique backing tracks to accompany his live vocal and lead guitar. Featuring drum machines, acoustic guitars, hand percussion, and his own background harmonies, the effect is a "Band of Toms."

Past Gigs

  • Bradley International Airport
    (42 performances, 4/2024-3/2026)
  • No Cover Cafe series in Enfield, CT (11/4/2024 & 3/13/2026)
  • Make Music Day - Hartford, Fairfield, & Georgetown, CT (6/21/2023 & 6/21/2025)
  • Middletown Farmers Market (8/1/2025)
  • West End Farmers Market (Hartford, 2024 & 2025)
  • Hartford's West End Porchfest (2024 & 2025)
  • The Greater Hartford Arts Council's Street Stages (2023 & 2024)
  • The Cellar on Treadwell (Hamden, CT, 2023)

Tom comes equipped with his own PA (or can plug into a house system) and can perform with battery power if needed. He can handle indoor/outdoor gigs of up to 3 hours and can also perform simply with acoustic guitar & vocal. Just ask!
